Raise a grievance

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, or how we answered a request about it, this page tells you exactly who receives your complaint and what happens after you send it.

Who receives your grievance

Grievances about personal data are received by Jay Tapadia (Founder), the Grievance Officer appointed by Tapadia Creative Private Limited.

Write to tapadia@bela.im. Please use this address for data-protection grievances specifically — it reaches the office directly rather than general support, so nothing is lost in a queue.

What to include

The email address your BELA account uses, or the address you used when you contacted us, so we can find the data your grievance is about.

What happened, and what you would like us to do. If your grievance follows an earlier request, tell us roughly when you made it.

Please do not include passwords, payment card details or other credentials. We never need them to investigate, and sending them by email puts them at risk.

If you are not satisfied

If our response does not resolve your grievance, you may escalate it to the data-protection authority with jurisdiction over your complaint. Exercising a right or raising a grievance never affects your account or your service with us.

Requests about your data

A grievance is a complaint about how we handled something. If you simply want to exercise a right — a copy of your data, an export, a correction, or erasure of the personal data in your account — see the Privacy page, which explains each one and how to ask.

Our privacy notice sets out what we collect, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have.
